ABOUT SCOTT

For more than two decades, I've had the privilege of documenting weddings, mitzvahs, family milestones, and community celebrations. While every event is different, my goal is always the same: helping people feel comfortable enough to be themselves and preserving the moments that matter most.

A photographer who believes people matter more than poses.

My journey into photography did not begin with weddings or events.

It began with a photojournalism class.

When I returned to college, I was searching for a path that would keep me from spending my life behind a desk. I found an introduction to photojournalism course, talked my way into an already full class, picked up my father’s old Canon AE-1, and quickly realized I had found something that felt different.

One of my earliest assignments took me through my own neighborhood, where I photographed a mother and daughter hanging clothes on a clothesline. It was a simple, ordinary moment, but something clicked. Photography was more than creating beautiful images. It was about connecting with people, paying attention, and preserving pieces of their story.

That realization stayed with me through developing black-and-white film, years of shooting for newspapers, and documenting everyday life.

While traveling through Ireland as part of a documentary project, I stepped into a small one-room schoolhouse and spent time photographing the students and their teacher. When I walked back outside, I found my professor on the beach photographing the landscape.

I looked at him and said, “This is what I want to do for a living.”

And from that moment on, I never looked back.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually spending time with my wife, our two sons, and our dog, who remind me every day why the small, real moments are worth preserving.

I'd be honored to tell your story.

 Whether you're planning a wedding, celebrating a B’nai
Mitzvah, gathering your family together, or marking an important milestone, my goal is simple:

To help you stay present in the moment while creating photographs you'll be proud to revisit for years to come.

“You, as our photographer for the B’nei Mitzvah, was an absolute gift. Your warmth, kindness, and calm presence helped everyone feel at ease, and the photos you captured truly brought the day back to life for me. As I went through the images, it felt as though I was reliving each moment all over again. I teared up more than once—these were monumental moments for our class, our families, and our friends, and you preserved them with such heart.

Your ability to catch the behind-the-scenes moments, the quiet smiles, the emotional exchanges, and the joy in the room was remarkable. Every photo carries a sense of authenticity and connection. He beautifully captured not only the ceremony but the spirit of our community.

Thank you, Scott, for helping us keep these sweet memories alive. Your talent and your warmth shine through every image. I am so grateful.”

"I was so nervous about being the center of attention at my wedding and being in a thousand photos, but Scott made it so easy and effortless. He made the photos feel authentic and natural, and set my nerves at ease. My mom even commented after the wedding about how he was so friendly and made everyone feel so comfortable. I dreaded being the center of photos, but I could not be more happy with how Scott captured our wedding. Every picture showcased such a happy and authentic moment. I love to get out my wedding photo book to reminisce. I am so happy I found a photographer who makes me feel comfortable and at ease, while also capturing amazing photos. We call Scott every year for family photos or big life events, like newborn photos. It is really special that we have a photographer who creates beautiful photos we can always look back on, and who celebrates our milestones with us."

"Scott beautifully photographed my daughter’s Bat Mitzvah celebration with the most amazing shots! He worked with us in documenting the ceremony, luncheon and reception, and maintained enthusiasm through the entire day. I am so grateful to Scott for capturing Maya’s special day in such an artistic way. I loved all of the candid shots as well as the family photos. When picking our favorite photos for the album, it was difficult to narrow it down because he gave us such a wide set of fantastic options to choose from.

Part of being an effective photographer is making your subject feel at ease. Scott is brilliant in this regard. He works well with kids and adults, which is no easy task. He also skillfully navigated the nuances of our family dynamics, making me feel at ease the entire day. Thank you for capturing Maya’s special day!"
